Courses may be offered in one of the following modalities:

  • Traditional in-person courses (0–29 percent of coursework is delivered online, the majority being offered in person.)
  • Hybrid/blended courses (30–79 percent of coursework is delivered online.)
  • Online courses (100 percent of coursework is delivered online, either synchronously on a designated day and time or asynchronously as a deadline-driven course.)
  • Hyflex (Students will be assigned to attend in-person or live streamed sessions as a reduced-size cohort on a rotating basis; live sessions are also recorded, offering students the option to participate synchronously or view asynchronously as needed.)

If you are enrolled in courses delivered in traditional or hybrid modalities, you will be expected to attend face-to-face instruction as scheduled.

Description:

Students have an opportunity to choose from a variety of activity courses designed to introduce them to a new sport or lifetime skills. The activities carry 1 credit for semester's work and 2 credits for the full semester.

Learning Goals:   Course Objective:To establish an individually safe and effective exercise program to increase your fitness!Student Responsibilities:• Medical Clearance MUST be obtained BEFORE participating in this course. • Lack of medical clearance does NOT count as an excused absence.• Fitness assessments/orientations MUST be scheduled with instructor ASAP.• Allow 30-45 minutes for assessments, it is YOUR responsibility to contact the instructor to schedule this evaluation the week before class starts.• Failure to show up to your assessment counts as an absence, ALL ASSESSMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED BY Monday 01/27/2014• You are allowed TWO unexcused absences. More than 2 will result in FAILURE of the class, no exceptions. Please bring in a doctor’s note if you are sick or proof of absence for any other situation.• You MUST sign in at the beginning of each class as proof of attendance.• If you are 10 minutes late or leave early, you will be marked late. • 2 late marks = 1 absence
