Courses may be offered in one of the following modalities:
- Traditional in-person courses (0–29 percent of coursework is delivered online, the majority being offered in person.)
- Hybrid/blended courses (30–79 percent of coursework is delivered online.)
- Online courses (100 percent of coursework is delivered online, either synchronously on a designated day and time or asynchronously as a deadline-driven course.)
- Hyflex (Students will be assigned to attend in-person or live streamed sessions as a reduced-size cohort on a rotating basis; live sessions are also recorded, offering students the option to participate synchronously or view asynchronously as needed.)
If you are enrolled in courses delivered in traditional or hybrid modalities, you will be expected to attend face-to-face instruction as scheduled.

Develop an integrated, theoretical grounded view of literacy that addresses the needs of students and teachers in diverse communities. Explore an inquiry-based curriculum within a collaborative learning environment. This course houses the first required portfolio assessment point in the Art and Adolescence Education programs.
Learning Goals
Course ObjectivesThe student will be able to:1. Define, recognize and plan inquiry-based science and math curriculums.2. Understand skills needed for inquiry and expression at the K-12 level.3. Learn effective curriculum planning through the model of Understanding by Design4. Develop and engage in an inquiry unit to gain personal experience.5. Apply research findings on the development of inquiry skills to their own curriculum unit.6. Explain the Math Common Core Learning Standards and Next Generation Science Standards.
