Learning Goals

COURSE LEARNING GOALS: This course will help you develop basic visual and technical skills to appreciate digital photography. It will also ask you to question the role technology plays in your perception of everyday life. Using the camera as a tool for visual and intellectual discovery you will begin to create visually compelling images of your own while also considering the technical, aesthetic and conceptual challenges raised by digital photography. It is not about producing snapshots and downloading images from the Internet, it is learning to articulate your self visually through the digital medium. Students are expected to take creative risks but maintain a consistent style and clear conceptual vision.
