Course Search


Courses may be offered in one of the following modalities:

  • Traditional in-person courses (0–29 percent of coursework is delivered online, the majority being offered in person.)
  • Hybrid/blended courses (30–79 percent of coursework is delivered online.)
  • Online courses (100 percent of coursework is delivered online, either synchronously on a designated day and time or asynchronously as a deadline-driven course.)
  • Hyflex (Students will be assigned to attend in-person or live streamed sessions as a reduced-size cohort on a rotating basis; live sessions are also recorded, offering students the option to participate synchronously or view asynchronously as needed.)

If you are enrolled in courses delivered in traditional or hybrid modalities, you will be expected to attend face-to-face instruction as scheduled.


PSI 625: Diagnostic Testing I

3 credits

The course focuses on psychological evaluation, specifically intelligence,cognitive abilities and learning disabilities, via the following tests: WAIS-IV, WISC-IV, WIAT-III, Bender-Gestalt-II, Berry-Buktenica Developmental Test of Visual Motor Integration, WRAML-II CPTII, GORT-IV, Nelson-Denny Reading Test,SCANIII, Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Conners, Brown ADD Scales. BASC-II Checklists.

Learning Goals

The primary learning objectives of the course are:1. Learn components of a psychological evaluation2. Introduction to consultation in the school and medical setting.3. Learn how to formulate and write a cognitive assessment.4. Introduction to ADHD and Learning Disabilities.5. Learn how to administer and score: Bender-Gestalt II, Beery Test of Visual Motor Integration, WISC-IV, WAIS-IV, WIAT-III, Figure Drawings, Thematic Apperception Test, Rorschach-Exner Scoring System, Early Memories. Become familiar with the Sentence Completion Test
