Courses may be offered in one of the following modalities:

  • Traditional in-person courses (0–29 percent of coursework is delivered online, the majority being offered in person.)
  • Hybrid/blended courses (30–79 percent of coursework is delivered online.)
  • Online courses (100 percent of coursework is delivered online, either synchronously on a designated day and time or asynchronously as a deadline-driven course.)
  • Hyflex (Students will be assigned to attend in-person or live streamed sessions as a reduced-size cohort on a rotating basis; live sessions are also recorded, offering students the option to participate synchronously or view asynchronously as needed.)

If you are enrolled in courses delivered in traditional or hybrid modalities, you will be expected to attend face-to-face instruction as scheduled.


ECS 710: Inclusive Curriculum, Methods, And Teaming In Infancy And Early Childhood

3 credits

Study adapting, modifying and evaluating curricula and methods. Learn motivational strategies to reduce inclusion barriers within developmental settings. Support all young children (birth-7) toward mastery of normal developmental sequences. Field work required.

To study the implementation of differentiated instruction in early childhood and to review related curriculae and materials used in individualized educational plans.2. To receive an introduction to systematic instruction as it may be used in implementation of intervention strategies for young children with disabilities.Reflective Practice:3. To further develop skill in task analysis to be demonstrated within this course, and in applying principles of motivation, effectively engage young children with special needs in developmentally supportive activities in inclusive settingsInclusive Community:4. To develop skill in teaching families and team members to implement intervention strategies in naturalistic contexts.
