Learning Goals: |
Focusing on the origins of traditional African dance movements and their development into contemporary styles, students will discover the background and history of African American’s contribution to dance in America. Students will develop cardiovascular endurance, flexibility, balance, coordinating body alignment and muscle tone while practicing ethnic dance techniques/ styles daily. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
