Drawing plays a primary role in development of an artist or designer. This course introduces the fundamental principles and techniques of representational drawing. Students develop their powers of observation and expression through a series of drawing projects using a variety of materials. (Distribution Reqs:Arts) |
| Learning Goals: |
Students will learn the ability to draw from life with observational skills. Students will demonstrate the visual understanding of line, shape, value and mark-making from life observation. Students will display the ability to draw from various subjects of still life, landscape and figure.Student will demonstrate the drawing skills with a variety of drawing materials: ink, paint, charcoal, pastel and graphite. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
