Description: |
This is an advanced workshop in creative photography designed to help develop the student's awareness of the medium's potential. Lecture and darkroom demonstrations will stress the technical subtleties of specialized printing techniques. Students will work on independent, self-directed projects. (Distribution Reqs:Arts) |
Learning Goals: |
• Students will learn about the history of the photographic medium.• Students will use digital and analog photography techniques to produce unique artistic works.• Students will study the relationships between digital and analog photography and invent new ways to incorporate historic tecniques into contemporary studio practices.• Students will produce an original body of work. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
