The aim of the three-semester French sequence is to help you to develop an active command of the language. Emphasis is placed on acquiring the four language skills––listening, speaking, reading and writing––within a cultural context, in order to achieve basic communicative proficiency. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
