An introductory graduate core course in corporate finance covering the following topics: an overview of financial decision making, time value of money, risk and return, bond valuation, stock valuation, cost of capital, and capital budgeting.

Learning Goals:   Upon completion of this course, the successful student should be able to understand:• the primary goal of the financial manager and the corporation.• in applying time value of money formulas to many applications.• the relationship of risk and return in financial markets.• bond terminology and its basic valuation model.• stocks and some of its valuation methods.• the basics of capital budgeting.
