Effective management requires an open mind and continual effort to develop an understanding of major evolving theories. This course is designed to provide a deeper understanding of the behavioral dimensions of management. Emphasis will be placed upon developing a pragmatic grasp of the concepts, principles, and practices of participative management.

Learning Goals:   1. Synthesize your understanding of team theory and practice.2. Assess an organization's use of teams and the overall effectiveness of its team support systems.3. Apply team processes of problem solving, decision making, project management, and conflict management.4. Assess personal team-collaboration skills.5. Review a topic of research inquiry in leadership and teaming.
