A look at the work of post-Freudian psychoanalysis and other schools of psychoanalysis which have developed since Freud including object relations interpersonal and self psychology. |
Learning Goals: |
By the end of the course, students will:Learn the origins and traditions of psychoanalytic ideas and the evolution of theory and technique.Learn about other schools of psychoanalytic thinking that have developed since Freud, including ego psychology, object relations, interpersonal, and self psychology. Learn about how the psychotherapy relationship has been discussed within and outside psychoanalytic schools of thought. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
