This course covers statistical procedures related to simple research designs. Major topics include sampling theory and special application in determining statistical reliabilty,chi-square and related nonparametric tests, methods of correlation, analysis of variance and covariance, and test relability and validity. |

The primary learning objectives of the course are: 1. To understand the logic and rationale underlying research design, statistical analysis and interpretation.2. To be able to understand and follow typical reports of statistical methodology and results which are commonly encountered in psychological journals and literature.3.
