Description: |
Students will learn to administer, score and interpret personality assessment instruments. The instruments consist of direct assessment methods and projective techniques. Tests have been selected for study that are currently employed in schools and mental health facilities for children and adolescents. |
Learning Goals: |
THE PRIMARY LEARNING OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE ARE: 1. familiarize students with the major apperceptive, figure drawing and self-monitoring checklists 2. learn how to administer, score and interpret apperceptive and projective tests and self-monitoring or behavioral checklists 3. learn how to write and organize reports from personality assessment data and present the evidence to parents and teachers Assessment issues4. integrate data from the different tests and checklists in report writing5. integrate data obtained from personality assessment instruments with data from achievement and cognitive assessment. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
