Description: |
The course expands on theory, research and practical considerations of working in public school setting, Emphasis is given on reviewing school policies and practices including RTI, formal and informal assesment, placement decisions, diversity policies and counseling tecqniques. The course satisfies the NYS mandate of Violence Prevention and Intervention. |
Learning Goals: |
The primary learning objectives of the course are: 1. To further increase the student’s practical applications of school psychology concepts 2. To improve upon skills in areas such as report writing and counseling3.
