Students are introduced to foundations for teaching fundamental motor skills and group games in physical education and other activity settings. Topics include selecting and teaching developmentally appropriate physical activities, skill progressions, games and game modifications, instructional cues, feedback, and assessment for Pre-K through middle school students of varying abilities. |

A. Course Description: This course is intended to provide students with theknowledge of organization and managing and governing group activities in aphysical education setting. Emphasis will be placed on techniques that promotesocial interaction, trust, cooperation and problem solving. Game modificationswill be discussed for inclusion of various able- bodied individuals. This class isgeared towards elementary education with an emphasis on movement.B.
