SCHOLARSHIP :1. Through group activities and assignments students will demonstrate the ability to identify and discuss various theories of motor control and concepts underlying motor skill acquisition (NASPE 1.2)2. Through group activities and analysis papers students will demonstrate the ability to apply motor control theory to guide the use of teaching approaches and teaching strategies (NASPE 1.2)3. Through group activities and analysis papers students will demonstrate the ability to design effective task progressions for motor skill acquisition (NASPE 1.1, 3.6)4. Through group activities and analysis papers students will demonstrate the ability to analyze and assess motor performance as a function of the critical elements of stages of learning (NASPE 1.5)5. Through completion of the analysis papers and group activities students will demonstrate the ability to analyze a skill and design a practice plan and feedback guide (NASPE 1.5, 3.5)6.
