Description: |
Students participate in a small-group or one-on-one in guided physical activities with a peer physical activity coach. Exercises included fitness and choice of sport-based activities. The class focus is to teach lifetime skills and promote a healthy lifestyle for students that need specialized programming and/or accommodations in movement settings. |
Learning Goals: |
Goals: Upon completion of this course, students will1. Increase comfort and independence regarding the use of on-campus activity offerings and fitness facilities2. Increase participation in recreational activities in a supportive environment3. Expand social skills through working with coaches and other students4. Set physical activity goals and be physically active throughout the semester5. Identify sport and physical activity opportunities for continued participationLearning Objectives-1.
