Description: |
Emphasis is on the development and expansion of receptive and expressive American Sign Language skills and fingerspelling. Deaf culture issues will be emphasized. Placement in courses other than beginning will depend on satisfying completion of the previous course or permission of the instructor. |
Learning Goals: |
1.To have each student comfortable and confident enough to approach Deaf people and engage in a conversation. 2. Develop a keen understanding of spatial awareness and facial expression. 3. Students will develop and in-depth understanding of the grammatical requirements of ASL. 4.
