Description: |
Students will learn common practices and techniques for the provision of telepractice services for clients of all ages in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. Students will engage in hands-on learning and actively participate in projects that enhance learning of how to incorporate telepractice into their future careers. |
Learning Goals: |
Upon completion of the course, students will:1.setup remote technological modes of communication. 2.explain the appropriate assessment and therapeutic modifications that accommodate client needs in a remote setting. 3.maintain client confidentiality in all settings, especially online. 4.troubleshoot technology obstacles to provide services that are at a high level and seamless in delivery. 5.instruct caregivers and support personnel in carryover and reinforcement of skills that can be measured consistently to maintain quality of service. *The learning goals displayed here are those for one section of this course as offered in a recent semester, and are provided for the purpose of information only.
