This course provides an advanced level of study of the psychoacoustic principles involved in the practice of audiology. Laboratory exercises in the topic areas are required. |
Learning Goals: |
1. Describe various psychoacoustic methods and procedures2. Describe how physiological mechanisms influence auditory perception3. Describe the processes underlying auditory perception, including such phenomena as sensitivity, frequency selectivity, masking, loudness, and pitch.4.
