Students will explore the rich potential of contemporary and traditional handmade crafts with various media (e.g. fiber, clay, papercraft) in terms of sensory engagement, cultural contexts, and social-emotional learning in arts education. The course will address topics such as community weaving projects, yarn bombing, folk/outsider art, and guerrilla art. |
